Recently, a customer asked if it was possible to install network printers, on Azure AD Joined Windows 10 devices, using Microsoft Intune. There are many ways to skin this cat and what made it more challenging was the Printer Driver was packaged in the dark ages . Sometimes it’s as easy as clicking a button or a drop-down menu giving you the option to Restore Network Settings. Other printer models make you work a bit harder. Go to the manufacturer’s website, and browse or search for “drivers” or “printer drivers.”
If the HP font card – as it is called for HPJIIID – is used, OCR-A and OCR-B can also be used. The QMS following printers can be operated in the PCL-5 mode with the HPxx device type mentioned or in the PostScript drivers download qualcomm mode with device type POSTSCPT.
