Tips For Changing the Custom Paper Size in Microsoft Word
Custom sizes and types of papers are created by the printer during setup. The user then enters the paper settings on the main setup page. The following sections will explain how to alter the settings for specific types of paper or sizes:
o Create a custom paper width or type on the setup page of the manufacturer. Register a custom height with your printer driver. If the height of your custom paper exceeds 432 millimeters (17in) and you want to print it, you can utilize the back output tray to print instead of the standard tray.o In the Print dialog box, select “Fit to” and move the tray to the exact position where you’d like your customized paper to be printed.
o To adjust the width of your personalized paper to alter the width of your custom paper, click the tab for printing setup. Click “IKBS” under the section titled “Printer Properties”. In the General section, under “IKBS Settings,” click ” slider” and move the sliders to the left until you see ” Invalid Setup Value?” Click “OK” If you see “Invalid Setup Value?”
o To change the width of your custom go to the Printing Setup tab. Click “IKBS” Click “slider” in the General section. Slide the sliders to your right until you see “Invalid Setup Value?” ” Then click ” OK.” In the Print Results section, you will see the new size and width.
Use the arrow keys to move the sliders to the left until you see “Change Custom Paper Widths.” The number of pages can be changed can be set automatically by pressing the shift key, then pressing enter. To reverse the change, just press the return key. To make changes to other pages, repeat the process until you are pleased with the new size. You can move the sliders to the left or right using the Arrow keys.
To change the sheet or tray sizes to change the sizes of the tray and sheet, you must first open the Printing Setup. Under “Printers and Paper: Custom Paper Sizes,” select the appropriate paper sizes for your printer. Then, choose the option that will display an automatic tray switch function. When you print a new document the driver of the printer will adjust the size of the tray or sheet to accommodate your printing requirements.
o To change the custom page size first, visit the Printing Setup and then click “page paper s size.” Select the custom size you prefer from the drop-down menu. Select “stretch” to stretch the page prior to printing. Otherwise, the current custom-size will be used. To change the size, click “set new size” in the pull-down menu.
o To print black and white documents you must set the paper sizes to black and white in the Printing Setup. Then, select “print.” The new size will be printed on your document page. To alter the color, simply select the color you prefer and then select it in the same drop-down menu that you select for the custom paper sizes.
o Set the custom size when the paper’s length is greater than 17 inches (430 mm). If you’re using a driver that is not a printer, check the tray height and then select “auto tray height” in the pull-down menu. The driver for printing will calculate the correct height automatically based on the display height. If this option isn’t accessible the maximum height of the tray will be used.
o To increase the thickness of your tray, select “set depth to default”. This option is only available to the tray that is not a printer. After you have selected the depth that you want, the maximum depth will be applied. You may not need to increase the depth of your document beyond 297 millimeters if the document is printed on a thicker paper such as thick or bond paper.
o Always open the file menu when printing documents. Click on the “file icon” instead of the “Printing” button. A majority of printers let you open the menu of files by clicking on the “print” button instead of the ” Printing” button. Some printers require you click on the “print button” before you can change the custom-size. You can always access the menu for files by clicking the “print” button instead of the ” Printing” button.
After you have completed creating the paper size you want then press the “ok” button on the PRINTS & FOLDS screen. The custom paper size will be added to the document. The entire process only takes just a few minutes. If there are any errors, you should be able to see an error message appear, or you can enter a new password. If you do not see an error message, your custom paper size was applied successfully.
